Centennial Tree on a Centennial Farm; planted in 1893, following "The Run of 1893," this old cottonwood is one of two remaining from the dozen or so that were planted by my great-grandfather, homesteader Charles Riggs, and his oldest sons, Dalton and Arles. The homestead is SW of Dacoma, OK, and remains in the Riggs family.
